How Does ANPR Work?
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems automatically read and record the entry and exit times of vehicles on your car park. Using our leading management software we then cross reference the length of stay against the sites terms and conditions. For example the software would identify if the vehicle had been parked longer than what is allowed or what they had paid for.
We would then get a list of all non compliant vehicles whereby we then have the option to issue a PCN (Parking Charge Notice)
Do I Need Onsite Internet?
No. Our Intelligent ANPR sends data in live time to our server via 3G/4G. As part of the installation we install an industry leading router with a sim card. We have additional security on the cameras and routers such as private IP addresses and VPN networks to ensure we are GDPR compliant at all times and safety of our data is of high importance to us.

What about my staff or contractors?
As ANPR parking solutions are so efficient, every vehicle entering your site will be recorded. HX Car Park Management have integrated vehicle authorisation list into our ANPR software. Any vehicles placed onto the list will be exempt from the terms and conditions and therefore won’t receive any Parking Charges.
When we install your ANPR system, we will give you different ways of being able to place vehicles on the list.
How ANPR Works
1. Entry Time Recorded
At the point of entry the ANPR camera registers the vehicle. It logs an image along with the data and time. This data is then sent in live time to our servers,
2. Exit Time Recorded
When the vehicle leaves site, the ANPR camera then records another photo along with the date and time. This data is then sent to our server where it is matched up to the entry data.
3. Compliance Check
Once we have the ‘In’ and ‘Out’ reads, our system then cross references the length of stay against the terms and conditions set for your site. Any vehicles that have breached the terms and conditions will then be flagged on a holding status for our staff to view.
4. Parking Charge (PCN)
Our processing team cross reference every Parking Charge. Once we have manually checked and are satisfied with the evidence, we will then request the Keepers details from the DVLA and issue a PCN via the post.
